My recent stay at Doubletree By Hilton Orlando Downtown had its ups and downs. While I appreciated the friendly service and the upgrade due to my gold membership, the cleanliness left much to be desired. The proximity to various attractions was a plus, but I did experience some uncomfortable situations that overshadowed my overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I checked into was quite cold upon arrival, and it took a while for the temperature to feel comfortable. Unfortunately, I encountered cleanliness issues, as there was hair in the bathroom of my first room. The second room was better but still had hair in the shower.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating. They made an effort to help with my upgrade and were quick to address my room change request.
Location
6.0
The hotel is conveniently located near downtown attractions. However, I felt uneasy about the neighborhood at night due to a noticeable presence of homeless individuals.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were decent, though I might not choose to pay out of pocket based on the prices. The breakfast I had was delicious, especially the fresh juice, and the restaurant staff were attentive.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some nice features like meeting rooms and a gym, but I was disappointed with the pool area, which seemed unclean with leaves floating on the surface.

6.8/10

During my recent stay at Doubletree By Hilton Orlando Downtown, I experienced a mix of positives and negatives. The staff were friendly and the breakfast options were impressive, with made-to-order omelets and a great buffet. However, the lack of proper air conditioning in my junior suite was frustrating, as the room felt uncomfortably warm. Additionally, the location near the train tracks and highway noise made it difficult to get restful sleep.

Rooms

My junior suite was advertised as refurbished, yet it was uncomfortably warm without actual air conditioning. The cleanliness was also lacking, and I found mold in the bathroom during my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful during my visit, with restaurant staff providing excellent service. However, housekeeping service was inconsistent and my room was not properly cleaned.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated near the interstate and train tracks, which contributed to noise at night. It's not the best area for families, as I felt uncomfortable going out in the evening due to the surroundings.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight; the buffet had a variety of options, including made-to-order dishes that I thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant staff made the dining experience pleasant.
Facilities
5.0
While the amenities provided a solid range, the hotel felt dated and could greatly benefit from renovations. The pool area lacked cleanliness, and I noticed limited options for towels.

My stay at Doubletree by Hilton Orlando Downtown had both ups and downs. On one hand, the pool area was enjoyable, and the restaurant offered good dining options. However, I encountered issues with the air conditioning in my room, which left it uncomfortably warm during my visit. Additionally, I found the parking fees to be quite high and not well advertised, which was frustrating.

Rooms

The room was nicely appointed with a great view, but unfortunately, the air conditioning was not effective. I felt warm and humid throughout my stay, which was quite uncomfortable. The cleaning service was also lacking; I found my room wasn’t properly cleaned until late in the day.

The staff were friendly and attentive, but I felt overwhelmed by how busy they seemed. Some interactions felt rushed, and I experienced a lack of clear communication about services, like the breakfast details.

While the hotel isn’t exactly in the heart of downtown, it was still conveniently located near various attractions. However, the parking situation was disappointing, with daily fees and limited options for free parking.

My stay at Doubletree By Hilton Orlando Downtown was a mix of positives and negatives. The friendly staff truly made a difference, welcoming me warmly upon check-in. However, the issues with the air conditioning and noise levels from the surrounding area significantly impacted my experience.

The room was excessively warm with a problematic air conditioning system. The lack of soundproofing left me waking up from train horns and traffic noise. Wear and tear was evident, with outdated furniture and cleanliness issues.

Most staff were friendly and accommodating during my stay. However, there were notable lapses in housekeeping service, with rooms not being cleaned effectively and missing basic amenities like towels.
Location

While the hotel is conveniently located near major expressways, it felt far from the downtown area and surrounded by construction. The constant noise from the train tracks nearby made it less than ideal for restful sleep.

Facilities
5.0
The hotel featured several amenities like valet parking and a decent lobby area. Unfortunately, it didn't compensate for the significant issues I faced in my room.

During my stay at Doubletree By Hilton Orlando Downtown, I experienced some positives like a comfortable room with a nice view and friendly staff. However, the overall experience was dampened by issues such as hidden parking fees and noise from nearby train tracks. While the location was convenient for my visit, the disruptions from the surroundings and some service hiccups made it less enjoyable than I'd hoped.

The room was nice, clean, and offered a great view, but the noise from the nearby train tracks was bothersome at night. Additionally, the air conditioning was loud and could use improvement.
Service

The hotel is located conveniently close to downtown, but I found the area somewhat under construction, and it wasn't as central as I expected, making dining options limited within walking distance.
Dining
5.0
The dining options at the hotel left much to be desired; I had to eat out or go to the supermarket, which was inconvenient, especially after a long day.
